Another Swagg Team release (since I've posted JC's Gambit yesterday). Today It's Jah Jah and his mixtape called "I'm so tomorrow", that drops today (I'm also so tomorrow, lol). If you don't know Jah Jah, think back when Yung Joc released "The Grind Flu". I've downloaded it back then and I liked it ... but the thing I was excited most about was not one of Yung Joc's tracks but the Bonus Track called "Hello Kitty" by Jah Jah/Jah Bless. Honestly this was the song I liked most on the Yung Joc album but of course the Yung Joc tracks was cool too. However since the release of "The Grind Flu" I was listening to "Hello Kitty" nearly dayly but since the Hello Kitty there weren't anything new by Jah Jah till today.
He has leaked the "Hard In The Paint" song before the release and I've listened to it, that was the point where I was excited about the release because this freestyle was better than Waka Flocka's original version and better than the remix with Rick Ross. The mixtape starts with "300 Killaz" a "300 Brolic"-like track, I've liked the track even much better than "300 Brolic" and my "Forever Remix" (yeah, I've made a beat with the Return Of The King Sample of the 300 Movie). This track makes you expect that the whole mixtape will be a hot one, a very hot one and suprise, it IS hot! The second track is "Mirror Mirror", it's one of these tracks you listen to when you're about to ball, it reminds me a little bit to Soulja Boys "Turn My Swagg On" (no, not of the way how it sounds like). Next is the "Never Shoot Me Down" track and the think I like most about it is the fact that it makes you feel so untouchable but well, it's just the truth what Jah Jah says in it, you can't be killed by a hater. The fourth song on the mixtape is the "Oh Let's Do It" Freestyle (originally by Waka Flocka Flame). I guess there is nobody that has never ever heard that beat before, it was the track Waka Flocka became big with. This freestyle is the best "Oh Lets Do It Freestyle" I've ever heard yet. Okay, I never was searching for freestyles of this track but that doesn't changes anything about the fact that Jah Jah killed it. "Lip Conversation" featuring Mantiz and Judah, which is number 5 on the tracklist is something like the hello kitty track - you'll probably listen to it when you spend the best times with your partner in your bed. The next track, "Beautiful", which sounds a little bit techno-like (at least the hook) is one of my favorites. I usually don't look out for tracks like this since I also don't listen to techno/house/industrial/electro tracks but I really love the track. "N.I.K.E." featuring Judah and St. Lou is number seven. The track is crazy, my subwoofer was going insane playing this song. Just like "Never Shoot Me Down" it has a "untouchable" atmosphere. The "Blow Money Fast" Freestyle is next and ... wow, while I was listening to the mixtape the first time I was like everytrack was like my favorite but then the following was even hotter. The freestyle is very hot, if I'd be a rapper and I would have to make a freestyle on this beat I'd cut it together with Jah Jah's freestyle so that my version gets hotter a bit but fortunally I'm not a rapper and I won't record any freestyles. The next song is "Hello Kitty". If already wrote my opinion about the track at the beginnig so I think I don't have to say once again that it is hot. The second half of the mixtape starts with "Like They Use To" featuring Boss G and Mantiz which is also good. It's not as good as the other tracks but it's nearly impossible to be straight banging on a mixtape/album. Don't get me wrong, just because it isn't as good as "Beautiful" (for example) it hasn't to be something bad. I still like that song. The eleventh song, "My Dedication" featuring Stefon, which is dedicated to Jah Jah's little brother is something I haven't expect on this mixtape. I love Jah Jah's idea to dedicate a song to this brother. It could have been a little bit longer like another verse but since it's a mixtape I guess it will be longer on Jah Jah's album. "Hard In The Paint" Freestyle, the following track is the one Jah Jah leaked before the release of the mixtape. The first 4 double time bars make you feel like wow. He really shows you how to kill a beat once and for all. The thirdteenth song, "Miss Marilyn Monroe" is one of these songs you could dedicate to your girlfriend on your anniversary. The song sounds somehow a little bit like Drake's "Best Ever Had". "Make It Work", which is the next track could be a "gettin money"-anthem. I like especially the hook of it. The more often I listen to it the more I like that track. I guess you gotta know the lyrics first so that you can rap to it. Number fourteen, "On Youtube" is another RnB track on the mixtape. What more can I say? Its a great track. Sorry, but I can't loose any more words on it since I'm completely by the next track called "Like A Album" featuring WarrenJae, which is my absolute favorite of the mixtape. He sampled Drake's "drop the mixtape that s*** sounded like an album, who’d have thought a country wide tour would be the outcome" line from the song "Forever". I like Drake's music a lot, especially "Forever" and to here it sample it like Jah Jah did is just a great idea. The seventeenth track, is the last freestyle on the mixtape. It's "Go Shawty Go" and once again Jah Jah killed a beat. I mean, his versions sound all better than the original - and that's what freestyles are about. The last track (why do all good things have come to an end?) is "I'm On" featuring Benny B. It reminds me a bit to Young Jeezy's "Put On" which was awesome. I think it was a great choice to end the mixtape. so, all in one, what can I say? The mixtape is awesome! either you download it or you download it and once again, my top 3: "Like A Album", "Beautiful" and "300 Killaz". Also make sure you're following Jah Jah on twitter.
